Hi everyone,

Im writing to give everyone some information about Teifi Tour, a charity paddling event run by River Legacy. Running from the 28th-30th October this year it is an opportunity for the club to get a Saturday and Sunday of paddling done with extra safety support and shuttles all sorted for you, all in a friendly atmosphere.

Teifi Tour is run by a charity called River Legacy (charity no. 1146997), and all profits from the event go towards getting people involved in paddlesport and improving access. This year we are determined to roll out a club grant project, where clubs can apply for a grant for new kit or a subsidy towards some coaching or towards membership, and River Legacy will provide that money.

The River

As some of you would’ve paddled the River Teifi, you will know that with a few good leaders it is beginner friendly, mostly grade I-II. There is the occasional grade III rapid, with one larger feature at the end of both the Saturday and Sunday’s paddling. All significant rapids have safety cover set on the by Llandysul Paddlers Centre, which is paid for by your ticket price. Llandysul also provide a shuttle service from different points down the river back up to the campsite at the top.
This year we also have Pyranha pro paddlers giving flatwater rolling sessions on the lake at the campsite and an opportunity for some whitewater coaching from Ant Morgan Coaching (AMCC).
We also have lots of competitions running over the weekend, with chances to win sets of cranked paddles courtesy of WWC, some £80 Surfplugs, a Palm bundle and lots more.
